Cake Coffee’s cans, designed by Daniel Ting Chong and Jordan Metcalf, are an absolute jolt of pure visual satisfaction. Wide vertical stripes stretch up the can, setting up the oversized, bubbly “cake” logo that highlights each flavor in punchy, high-contrast color. The typography walks a smart line between playful and structured, giving the coffee brand a sense of rhythm and energy.
It’s clear the design takes inspiration from pop art, and I’m here for the playfulness of it all, especially because coffee packaging can sometimes take itself too seriously.
